Define the demand each channel should reach

Identify whether a platform is intended to support domestic leisure, international discovery, mobile-led bookings, last-minute stays, corporate travel or a distinctive property type. The role should fit the hotel rather than the popularity of a logo.

Decide what inventory belongs where

Not every room type, package or date needs the same exposure on every platform. Shape availability around the guest and booking occasion while keeping operational complexity manageable.

Maintain the full path to conversion

A live rate is only one part of distribution. Content, images, policies, taxes, availability and confirmation settings must work together. Assign ownership so channel quality does not decline after setup.

Review contribution in context

Assess useful booking movement, stay dates, cancellation behaviour, lead time and operating fit. A channel may be valuable for a specific demand segment even when it is not the largest source of volume.

Remove duplication and avoid unmanaged expansion

New platforms create more content, inventory and policy work. Add a channel when its expected role is clear and the hotel can maintain it. Pause channels that add complexity without a useful route to demand.
